Warranty – Outdoor Gardens Wooden Products
All Outdoor Gardens (OG), PolarPlay and Rebo Wooden Products including our Shed ranges (Potting Sheds, Pent Sheds, Security Sheds, Shed Bases. Shed Shelving) Summerhouse range, Outdoor Living range (Arbours, Arches, Pergolas, Planters, Potting Tables, etc) Outdoor Toys range (Climbing Frames, Swings, Playhouses, etc), Log Cabins range and Garden Storage range referred to as “Outdoor Gardens (OG), PolarPlay and Rebo Wooden Products” from this point forward, come with a 12 months Limited Warranty. Please see below for details of parts not covered by the warranty which extends to the original retail purchaser only, proof of purchase will be required to validate any claim.
Please Note: Part or model specifications are subject to change without notice. Products made by Outdoor Gardens (OG) (excluding Sheds, Summerhouses and Log Cabins) and Rebo have a 1-year warranty on Wood components and Metal fixings such as bolts, etc. Outdoor Gardens (OG) Sheds, Summerhouses and Log Cabins and PolarPlay products have a 1-year warranty on Metal fixings such as bolts, etc and a 1-year warranty on Wood components provided a suitable wood preservative is applied, failure to do so may invalid the warranty. There is a 1-year warranty on Plastic components such as the slides, swing seats, and other accessories. Please Note: The canvas part of nest and boat swings is exempt from the 12 months warranty as it can become damaged by the elements if stored incorrectly while not in use, due to this there is only a 6 month warranty on nest and boat swing accessories.
If you find that a part is missing or parts are broken when delivered please contact info@outdoorgardens.com within 14 days with a list of parts.
By purchasing and using your new Outdoor Gardens (OG), PolarPlay or Rebo Wooden Product you agree to be bound by the terms of this Warranty as set out below.
What this Warranty covers:
The Outdoor Gardens (OG), PolarPlay and Rebo Wooden Product warranty only covers defects in material or workmanship that cause your product to fail. Cracks in the wood, warping or stains on the surface of the wood are not defects in the quality of the product. Please see the Additional Information section of this warranty for more information.
The Outdoor Gardens (OG), PolarPlay or Rebo Wooden Product Warranty is only valid if your product is used under normal conditions for its intended purposes, a suitable wood preservative is applied on delivery for Outdoor Gardens (OG) Sheds, Summerhouses and Log Cabins and PolarPlay Wooden Products and annually for all Outdoor Gardens (OG), PolarPlay and Rebo Wooden Products, and it is installed on a suitable firm and level base.
The Outdoor Gardens (OG), PolarPlay or Rebo Wooden Product Warranty is also only valid if the assembly of your product was performed correctly, the product has not been modified in any way and has also been maintained correctly and any adjustments that are made are only done in accordance with those described in the owner’s manual provided with the product. PDF versions of manuals are available on request
Warranty is only valid in the country where the product was purchased.
This Warranty does not cover and will be voided if:
- The Outdoor Gardens (OG), PolarPlay or Rebo Wooden Product is used in a manner contrary to the instructions as stated in the Owner’s Manual included with the Outdoor Gardens (OG), PolarPlay or Rebo Wooden Product.
- If the Outdoor Gardens (OG), PolarPlay or Rebo Wooden Product is incorrectly assembled.
- If the Outdoor Gardens (OG), PolarPlay or Rebo Wooden Product is damaged due to incorrect use, misuse, accident or abuse.
- If the Outdoor Gardens (OG), PolarPlay or Rebo Wooden Product is damaged due to alterations or modifications which have been made to the Outdoor Gardens (OG), PolarPlay or Rebo Wooden Product.
- If the owner of the Outdoor Gardens (OG), PolarPlay or Rebo Wooden Product has failed to perform regular, correct maintenance. Or in the case of Outdoor Gardens (OG) Sheds, Summerhouses and Log Cabins and PolarPlay Wooden Products failed to use a suitable wood preservative to protect the item as advised
- If the Outdoor Gardens (OG), PolarPlay or Rebo Wooden Product is rented or used for commercial purposes.
- The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or any other causes not arising from defects in materials or workmanship.
Misuse, High Winds, Fire Damage, Extreme Weather, Natural Disasters are not covered by the warranty
Additional Information:
Cracked wood or Green mottling are not warranty Issues
Outdoor Gardens (OG), PolarPlay and Rebo Wooden Products are constructed from timber which is a natural product and may be affected by the environment and weather conditions it is exposed to much more than a man-made product would be. Cracks may appear in the surface of the wood which is perfectly natural for timber particularly in the summer, this does not affect the structural integrity of the timber or the safety of Outdoor Gardens (OG), PolarPlay or Rebo Wooden Products. These cracks are rarely a sign of defects but simply the timber adapting to the fluctuations in the atmosphere and humidity of its environment. Cracks may expand and contract depending on the environmental conditions, this is perfectly natural.
To protect Outdoor Gardens (OG) and Rebo Wooden Products (excluding Outdoor Gardens (OG) Sheds, Summerhouses and Log Cabins and PolarPlay Wooden Products) the wooden components are pressure treated*. This safeguards Outdoor Gardens (OG) and Rebo’s Wooden Products against wood-destroying insects and fungi that can cause soft-rot and increases the longevity of the products. A side effect of this treatment process is green mottling which may become visible on the surface of the wood, this is perfectly natural and shows the wood has been treated. The mottling is simply a reaction between the preservative wood treatment and the resin already present in the timber. It is recommended that additional wood treatments are applied to the Outdoor Gardens (OG) and Rebo’s Wooden Products on a yearly basis to prolong their life. Additionally, accessories such as slides, swing seats etc should be stored inside when not in use or during winter months to protect them from adverse weather conditions which could cause metal or plastic fatigue or in the case of canvas accessories the canvas to rot. Failure to store accessories correctly during adverse weather conditions may invalidate the warranty.
*Outdoor Gardens (OG) Sheds, Summerhouses and Log Cabins and PolarPlay Wooden Products are not pressure treated and we recommend that customers use a suitable wood preservative on delivery, it is also recommended that additional wood treatments are applied on a yearly basis to prolong the life of your product , failure to do so may invalidate your warranty.
In order to rectify any Warranty issues, we will:
- Replace parts covered by the Warranty as long as they are caused through manufacturing defect or fault of production which caused the product to malfunction.
- In order to address Warranty issues, we will issue parts that you will be responsible for fitting even if you had purchased the installation service.
We do not issue refunds for products outside of the 14 days refund period.
Outdoor Gardens (OG) will not be held liable for incidental or consequential loss, injury or damage, due directly or indirectly from use of the Outdoor Gardens (OG), PolarPlay or Rebo Wooden Product.
Please note: Wood is a natural product and as such can become slippery in wet or icy conditions, care should be taken when using play equipment under these conditions and checks should be made before each use to make sure that the item is dry and suitable to be used. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times when using any play equipment. A 2M safety perimeter should be allowed around all outdoor play equipment
